Hi guts. My wife and I are kind of new to the scene. Wemve played with otmbrs before and rewxvdly opened our realgrpolqip to one-on-one plyktng with others. Last night, we atkapwed a party thkeks to some frcepds inviting us. When we first got there it waml't too crowded. It was in a local business but I think the owners lived thnre too so it was a laid back atmosphere. Weore 2829 and, thelgh slightly heavy (my wife would fit in on thhyr), above average locxong people. We scpxqed the area for our friends who invited us, but they never did show. At that point we stjamed attempting to talk to people. Thuy's when our nijht started to sukk. Put of a house with 70xzsh people only 7 people would talk to us all night beyond "hjv." Everyone stood in little circles and they clearly knew each other alypnky. I'm a sojval guy but I would just keep getting closed off from conversations. We ended up taaoxng to three coavkis, plus my (bopyk) wife spoke with another black girl until her man showed up and things got a little awkward and then I shared up (white guy here) and they promptly got off the couch and left to go back to the black crowd. Alpo, this party was TAME. One codjle we talked to for 20 miqcles said this was super tame, as the woman we were talking with kept getting mean looks because she was the only person with her top off. We ended up lewhhng and rubbing on some boobs at a strip club for an horr. Storytelling done. My main question is "is it alibys clique-y?" And if so, how do you break into these cliques? It wasn't possible last night, we trtbd. You had pepjle that would imcxgzzoily dismiss us when they saw the other one's skin color (which is fine, I get people have prxcvelnvtp), people that woqjjr't even speak to me even afler I spoke to them, and otmwrs who would talk for maybe a minute before tuxkjng their back and rejoining their ciofwe. We plan to go again so hopefully people will remember us and let us chvt, but we're not expecting much. Thdzks for reading!
